Alcami Site: St. Louis, MO

How long have you been with Alcami?

I have been with Alcami for 5 1/2 years.

What is your role?

Manager, Microbiology at the St. Louis site.

What is the most rewarding part of your job?

I am very proud to work with the St. Louis team.  Our team constantly displays dedication and accountability. The relocation of the laboratory has been challenging and rewarding.  I am proud of what we have accomplished through the hard work and commitment of our employees and support staff. I also find it rewarding to work with clients on difficult projects and assist in finding solutions that could lead to a life-saving drug.

What are your team’s latest achievements?

We have completed Phase 1 and 2 of the St. Louis relocation from the Lindbergh location to the Cortex Innovation Community.  The microbiology lab has maintained an average on-time delivery (OTD) of 96.8% during the relocation. We are in the process of qualifying an isolator for sterility testing.  We are ahead of schedule for the project and are projected to begin testing in Q1 2018.

How do you see those accomplishments affecting the pharmaceutical industry?

The relocation to the Cortex facility allows Alcami the capability to create efficiencies that aid in producing quality results for our clients with a faster turnaround time (TAT).  The transition to isolator technology will allow the St. Louis site to exceed industry standards for sterility testing.  One benefit of isolator testing is a decrease in the potential for false positives.
