How long have you been with Alcami?
I joined Alcami in May 2018 as an intern, before transitioning to a full-time position in December 2018.

What is your role?
Assistant Scientist, Formulations Development-Parenterals

What is the most rewarding part of your job?
The most rewarding part of my job is knowing that our work gives hope for a better life to patients and their loved ones. In addition, we gain valuable on-the-job knowledge and experience to make us better scientists. This, in turn, helps us develop more innovative solutions that will save lives and lead to higher quality of life for patients worldwide.

What are your team’s latest achievements?
Our team’s latest achievement was the successful execution of a three-part terminal filtration study. The project was very challenging: from the planning stage, to protocol generation, all the way through execution and analytical testing. The study required strong coordination and teamwork between several different teams within the company and with the client, as well as around-the-clock dedication to sample collection and testing.

How do you see those accomplishments affecting the pharmaceutical and biotech industries?
Through our accomplishments, we gain tremendous insight and proficiencies, which increases our capabilities and capacity. This allows us to help more biotech/pharmaceutical companies bring their products to market and deliver lifesaving medications.
